Apply the v2.1 build once Datatel provides that to us. The new build promises to be much faster on the front end, on the console, and provides additional features.
ActiveAdmissions v2.1
Build the entire ONU web site on AC v2.1 and site-wide login controls for My Account and My Profile pages. A wish-list of items and new features are included in this project for UG Admissions, Marketing, SGCS and Alumni offices.
ActiveAlumni v2.1
Recreate the entire site on the new ActiveAdmissions v2.1 web site so that it is fully integrated with news stories, events, banner ads and other content. More importantly, user logins and other audience-based pages and content will work the same across the entire site, whether the audience is alumni, prospects or other.
Additional Projects v2.1
New features include:
(1) Music Recruiting forms;
(2) New vehicle registration form;
(3) Other forms.
Alumni v2.1
New features include:
(1) Dramatic improvements in directories and directory profile listings;
(2) Improved spotlight content;
(3) Integration with Social Networking sites;
(4) New job postings for alumni to alumni;
(5) Integration with the rest of the ONU web site;
(6) Improvements to the Class Notes pages;
(7) Improvements to Lost Alumni processing;
(8) Improvements to Ministry Teams events and other events;
(9) Work with Datatel to make software properly list deceased alumni in directory listings.
Astra Schedule
Version VII of Astra Schedule is scheduled to be implemented in late summer or early fall of 2009. In conjunction with the Office of the Registrar and Conferences department, we will be investigating how Astra Schedule can help to make campus scheduling more efficient and streamlined as well as providing better space utilization of Olivet's current and future facilities.

Improve and upgrade enterprise backup system.

Memorial Day weekend for conversion to live.
Blackboard
Blackboard will be upgraded on July 19-20. The new version is called Blackboard Learn and it has a Web 2.0 look and feel. Some of the new features in this version include blogs, journals, enhanced group functions, and user notifications for updated course and organization information.
Chalfant Audio Mixer Upgrade
We will be upgrading the audio mixer in Chalfant Hall from an analog Yamaha M3000-40 to a digital Digidesign Venue Profile. The new mixer replaces not only the mixer but a host of outboard gear due to its built in signal processing. The built in signal processing also allows for the use of third party "plug-ins" which are digital recreations of physical signal processing equipment. This allows for the selection of thousands of pieces of equipment with no additional hardware, rack space or cabling required. This Venue Profile is powerful and compact. At only 2/3 the size of the M3000 it has 8 more channels in its current configuration and has the ability to add another 48 channels bringing the total to 96 channels with no change in footprint. This upgrade will bring Olivet and Chalfant Hall a giant leap forward in quality, flexibility and reliability. It also provides us the opportunity to re-purpose the current equipment for much needed upgrades in Kresge Auditorium.

Update access to match our current LDAP connectivity for Colleague and OASIS.
Colleague UI
Implement new versions of Colleague UI and UI Web interfaces.
Datatel Portal
Install portal software for Advancement and possibly other users of Colleague software.
Degree Audit
Make adjustments to current transcript print routine and have Registrar continue testing.
Disaster Recovery
Implement redundancy for systems in a disaster recovery location.
Donor Forms and Reporting
New donor forms for Office of Development and for Shine.fm.
E-mail Access for Mobile Devices
Add GroupWise support for mobile/wireless devices.
E-mail List Management
Configure a new service for mailing list management, replacing the current listserv service.
eDirectory Upgrade
The core user directory will be upgraded to the latest version.
Financials on Cognos
Continue work on financials as accounting provides information.
Google Analytics
Setup Google Analytics to evaluate SEO tactics and stay informed on what works well on the ONU web site.
Google Maps
Google maps have been developed that utilize Google Maps functionality. An interactive campus map and alumni U.S. map are finished. Marketing office is sending modifications. A new SGCS Program Locations map is being added.
GroupWise Update
Upgrade email system to latest version.
Human Resources v2.1
New features include:
(1) Online Application with the information electronically relayed to HR, interfacing with Datatel & DoceScan;
(2) HR staff online bios;
(3) Job listing in more of a list fashion and more clean and crisp. Then candidate can click link to view full job description. Maybe even pull the job descrip up as a PDF;
(4) Information about working at ONU for prospective candidates (benefits, etc.);
(5) Current employees’ “Olivet Story”;
(6) About the Area, attractions in and around Bourbonnais; campus map/virtual tour of campus, directions to Miller;
(7) Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
Identity Management
Integration of disparate systems to manage identity lifecycle.
IT Web Site
The following current web sites will be combined to form a unified IT Dept web site:
(1) IT web site;
(2) Tech Support web site;
(3) Media & Technical Support web site. The site will be developed using the Drupal content management system.
Kresge Audio Mixer and Booth Upgrade
We will be upgrading the audio mixer in Kresge auditorium this summer. As part of the upgrade we will be replacing the current audio booth. This will not only accommodate the upgraded mixer, but allows space for a computer operator. This additional space will also function as the directors space when calling cues for plays and musicals or as a space for portable video recording equipment. This upgrade adds 12 channels of audio control to our system and at the same time provides the control space required for the types of events we are servicing in Kresge Auditorium.
Marketing v2.1
New features include:
(1) Ability for marketing to take down/replace banner ads on the home page and throughout the site;
(2) Ability to link and upload PDFs;
(3) Spotlights – new pages and content will be added throughout the site;
(4) Ability to edit rotating pictures on the home page;
(5) A mobile version of the site;
(6) A new athletic color scheme that more closely resembles ONU colors;
(7) CMS for maintaining The Olivetian on the web site;
(8) CMS for maintaining ONU Experts on the web site;
(9) Greatly improved News pages; Ability to manage upcoming events that are promoted on the alumni home page;
(10) Comment on this News Story – ability for visitors to make comments on news stories.

HP Blade hardware installed with Virtual Machine software to implement running Windows and Linux servers.
SGCS v2.1
New features include:
(1) Redesign of the SGCS home page;
(2) New top-level academic pages (approx. 6);
(3) Modifications to all academic program pages;
(4) Modifications to SGCS pages;
(5) Dynamic content that displays upcoming cohort start dates that will appear on appropriate program pages.
Storage Management
Integrate new systems to help manage storage allocation and design.
Technical Support Web Site Consolidation
In an effort to reduce confusion and be more user friendly, the it.olivet.edu, techsupport.olivet.edu, and media.olivet.edu web sites are being consolidated into a single support portal. Navigation of this new site will be primarily audience then topic based. Improved self-service features such as a searchable knowledge base, online ticket submission and status checking, and more comprehensive how-to's will be a significant function of the site.
Telecom
Reduce the number of phones in the Outer Bank apartments to one phone per apartment, not including the RD's apartments.
Touchnet
Assist Student Accounts in implementing next and final phase of Touchnet software.
UG Admissions MICRO-SITE
UG Admissions hired a company to build a new micro-site that is scheduled to be beta-ready by June and will go live in August. Once the site is developed (for a .NET environment) we will install everything on our web servers. Later, we will develop a way to merge data from this new site with ActiveAdmissions for the purposes of streamlining mass e-mail, data integration and other business activities.
UG Admissions v2.1
New features include:
(1) Application Status Checker;
(2) Items complete check list;
(3) Widgets for Facebook, Meebo, Youtube;
(4) Automatic response e-mails;
(5) Merge many online forms together.
Virtualization
Migrate and design services to run on virtualized operating systems.

YOUTUBE Video Channel
We are now populating video content on YouTube in addition to iTunes U. We very recently setup the new channel on YouTube and started the task of adding content and tagging that for ONU SEO improvements. There is more work to be done on content, user interface and integration with ONU web sites. Moving forward, new content will be added to YouTube and iTunes U as the normal business practice.
