2/16/2005 - Guest Wireless Accounts
We have recieved many questions regarding wireless network access such as, "I am an ONU staff member and my [fill in family member here] is visting for the week. Can they use a wireless network account while they are here?"
Until now we have been unable to accomodate these requests, but we have finished building a system that will allow anyone with a ONUNet account (student, faculty or staff) to sponsor a guest for a limited amount of time. This means that a temporary wireless account will be created that can be used by a guest with the sponsor as the contact in case of a policy violation. A limit of 3 guest wireless accounts can be sponsored by a single ONUNet account holder. Please go to the IT website or to Guest Login if you have any further questions.
