11/16/2004 - Judah Wireless Network
No longer will the Olivet community have to remain indoors. No longer will students, faculty, and staff have to be enslaved and teathered by a wire. They want to be free. They need to be free. They want to be able to compute at anytime from anywhere on campus. It is with that charge that the Department of Information Technology is proud to release the next generation of computing: Judah: Olivet's first campus-wide wireless network system.
Students, faculty, and staff may purchase a standard 802.11 a, b, or g wireless card from Staples, Office Max, or even Walmart and be able to roam about the campus anytime and anywhere (except in Chalfant during chapel.)
