    Computer Recommendations

Although it is not necessary to bring a computer onto campus, many do. If you are not bringing a computer to campus right away, there are a number of computers labs on campus as well as some "public" stations that can be used.

If you already have a computer to bring to campus, please make sure it meets the operating system specifications shown below. It is also good to think about your intended course of study to make sure the hardware specifications will meet your needs.

If you are wanting to purchase a computer, below are some recommended guidelines to aid in deciding on a computer that will work best for you. While you do not have to meet these specifications exactly, our intention is to provide specifications for a computer that should last the duration of time here at Olivet. You should also take the time to visit the Student Discount Programs available with both Dell and Apple.
