What are they for?
Student ID cards are used primarily to provide access to the library, cafeteria, and athletic activities, and to identify the student to various campus departments. It also serves as your Tiger Dollar card. Your student ID card will be issued your first semester at Olivet and remains valid each following semester that you are a student.
Caring for Your Card
Holes, stickers, and other modifications to student ID cards are strictly prohibited. Damaged or altered cards can cause malfunctions and damage to our electronic card readers. This prevents you from being able to use the features of the card.
Replacement Costs and Procedures
To replace lost or damaged cards, come to the IT Help Desk in the lower level of Benner Library during regular office hours. A $20 fee will be added to your student account. Once a new card is issued, the old card will no longer work.
In the case where a card is inaccessible for a couple of days (i.e. left at home), a temporary card may be obtained. This card is for dining hall purposes only and will be valid for three days. There is no charge for obtaining a temporary card but if your regular student ID card is not found or recovered after three days you will be required to obtain a new ID card and be charged the $20 fee.
