The Department of Information Technology exists to enhance the University’s educational goals by providing the best technical support to ONU students, faculty, staff, and guest user groups. Users receive a broad scope of initial technical support from the IT Help Desk and continued facilitation of communication and support when those needs exceeding the scope of Help Desk support require escalation to appropriate teams or technicians with corresponding responsibilities.
University Students, Faculty, and Staff receive the benefit of discounted software and hardware purchases, primarily through partnerships with Dell and Apple, but also including a variety of other retailers.
Faculty and staff can take advantage of technology training courses to help them make use of the technologies we offer.
Dennis Seymour is Chief Information Officer. The department consists of highly qualified full-time and part-time technicians, including strategists, analysts, managers, programmers, developers, specialists, assistants and almost as many skilled students. These technicians are organized into the teams responsible for four areas of operation:
