Problematic Password Campaign

Our security team has identified several ONU accounts with passwords that have been compromised or found in various security breaches. As a result, we are sending out emails to the affected users. Below is an example email:

[[first_name]],

Your ONU account has been identified as having known cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Typically, this means a password associated with your email address has been published on the internet and is known to criminals. If you have not updated in a while, changing your account password is a very good place to start!  You may receive further instructions in future communication.

To verify the legitimacy of this message, please feel free to contact the ONU HelpDesk, or check on the main IT website under Self-help for further information about password security.
