Infrastructure Operations manages the university data centers and provides around-the-clock support for IT computing activities. We support the infrastructure for the campus desktop computers and maintain the infrastructure for the operating systems and university servers. We also provide disaster recovery and continuation of vital technology and systems following a disaster.
Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting campus telecommunication systems and assists with wired and wireless networks.
Responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting campus wired, wireless and telecommunications networks on a day-to-day basis. Also responsible for maintaining campus fiber, wiring and cabling.
Provides for overall management of Application Services duties including administrative computer maintenance, user account maintenance, Colleague module administration, Colleague and information database programming, software and hardware support, Windows administration, SQL database administration, Sharepoint administration and support.
Responsible for maintaining the backbone of Olivet's network; ensuring that 200+ switches have the highest possible up-time; managing and maintaining the network core; maintaining the firewall and web filtering software; diagnosing problems with data communications lines; and implementing new technologies.
Manages the Infrastructure team that is responsible for data center, cloud computing, wired and wireless connectivity, Internet connection, telecommunications, identity and information security.
Assists in network computer programming and support. Helps monitor, maintain and upgrade the Olivet Nazarene University campus network. Writes and revises programs for the ONU network and for other applications using a number of development programs and databases.
