The Olivet Nazarene University IT Help Desk utilizes AnyDesk, a secure remote support tool, to assist students, faculty, and staff with technical issues. With your authorization, an IT technician can use AnyDesk to view your screen in real-time and temporarily take control of your device to troubleshoot problems, configure settings, and resolve issues efficiently.
Locate the downloaded .exe file in your browser’s download history or your Downloads folder and double-click to open it.
If prompted by Windows asking if you want to allow this app to make changes, click Yes.
Once AnyDesk opens, locate the 9 or 10-digit number listed under “Your Address”.
Provide this number to your Olivet Nazarene University IT technician.
When the ONU IT technician connects, a window will pop up. Click Accept to begin the remote session.
How to start your remote session on macOS:
Click the download button above.
Open your Downloads folder and double-click the .dmg file.
Double-click the AnyDesk icon in the window that appears to launch it.
Important: You must grant macOS permissions for us to view your screen. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security. Ensure AnyDesk is toggled ON for both Accessibility and Screen Recording.
Once open and permissions are granted, locate the 9 or 10-digit number under “Your Address” in the AnyDesk window.
Provide this number to your Olivet Nazarene University IT technician.
When the ONU IT technician connects, click Accept.
How to start your remote session on Linux:
Click the download button above to download the file.
Extract the downloaded archive or install it using your distribution’s package manager.
Launch the AnyDesk application from your application menu.
Locate the 9 or 10-digit number listed under “Your Address”.
Provide this number to your Olivet Nazarene University IT technician.
When the ONU IT technician attempts to connect, click Accept on the prompt to allow screen sharing and control.
How to start your remote session on iOS / iPadOS:
Tap the download button above to open the App Store.
Tap Get to install the AnyDesk app, then open it.
Swipe through the brief tutorial and accept the privacy policy.
You will see a 9 or 10-digit number labeled “Your Address”. Provide this number to your Olivet Nazarene University IT technician.
When the ONU IT technician connects, a prompt will appear asking to Start Broadcast. Tap Start Broadcast to share your screen.
How to start your remote session on Android:
Tap the download button above that matches your device’s App Store.
Tap Install, then open the AnyDesk app.
You may be prompted to install a secondary “Control Plugin” depending on your device brand. Follow the prompts to install and enable this in your Accessibility settings.
Open AnyDesk again and locate the 9 or 10-digit number under “Your Address”. Provide this to your Olivet Nazarene University IT technician.
When the ONU IT technician connects, tap to Accept the connection and allow screen casting.
